Art Center Haagweg 4 is founded by a group of squatters in order to create an inspiring space for artists. Later on the municipality became the owner of the old school building, which is suffering a serious decline. It seems to be impossible to raise enough funds to preserve the building. Artists fear the liquidation of their art center. That's why Jan Stap and Henny Hartevelt decided to make this documentary film. Two years long they filmed seven artists and talked with them about their thoughts: Can they keep their studio? Will it be affordable? When can you call yourself artist? What means being an artist for them? The film shows how they artists try to survive in a time of many uncertancies.
