Becoming the Hunted - Actor Kane Hodder on Alligator II: the Mutation
Movie almanac "Suzdal, I love you.DOC" is a gift from young filmmakers dedicated to the 1000th anniversary of the city of Suzdal. It includes 13 of the best films created by participants of a two-week summer film camp led by Russian director Sergei Debizhev. The authors of the works are young directors, cameramen, sound engineers and producers from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kaliningrad, Krasnodar, Svetlogorsk, Lipetsk, Suzdal, Kazan, as well as a graduate of SPbGIKiT from Pakistan. Suzdal is a unique city in Russia, which has managed to retain its authentic charm despite the historical events. The young directors managed to convey the tranquility and kindness of Suzdal in their films, introduce the viewer to the local residents - creators, craftsmen, artists, dreamers, penetrate into the closed world of the Suzdal monasteries, in the city of unique characters whose soul is the whole planet, and simply return to the same courtyard at the grandparents' cottage. The first "opening" story reflects the stereotypical view of Suzdal as a provincial tourist town that people are leaving. Next 11 stories overturn this belief. They create portraits of extraordinary suzdal citizens. Each of the characters reflects different facets of the city's life and history: the film features a painter, nuns of the Rizopolozhensky monastery, a singer of the hymn of Suzdal, a poet-submariner Alexei Lebedev, owners of a home theater, a mystical gusle master, and even a retired woman-blogger! The final chord of the almanac is a film about the ordinary Suzdal woman - completely breaks the stereotypes about what happiness is in principle, and where it can be found: in big cities or here, in a small provincial town.
