The story follows two garbage handlers, enamoured with each other, traipsing through the streets of Mexico City. The pair struggle to navigate away from a broken world, destined to get their hands dirtied. Jonathan and Yesi are garbage collectors living a secret romance traversed by the sordidness of the universe in which they move. They work under the orders of the sinister Maestro Limpio, the driver of the truck in which they travel every night. When they find a corpse with their pockets full of money, a plan devised by their boss will put them under great pressure. The second film by Michel Lipkes immerses the viewer in an unreal atmosphere full of symbolism, leaning on a blunt black and white photography that explores the darkest corners of the human condition, between those who try to get away from that spiral and those who surrender to their descending travel.
