Blind Date

A lone man who craves peace and quiet in his apartment is disturbed by his new neighbour, a female piano player. As they comedically strive to drive each other out, frustration turns to friendship and more. He is a dedicated workaholic who lives and breathes his work. He prefers nothing more than silence. She is an accomplished pianist working on her big-break concert. To her, music and sound is everything. Separated only by a wall, things get interesting. She is a pianist, he wants his peace and quiet. They have recently become neighbors, and the wall between their apartments is so thin that every sound can be heard. When the wallflower 'Madame' moves into her new apartment, it is clear to the eccentric game inventor 'Monsieur': the noisy neighbor must be driven out by any means necessary. However, she puts up fierce resistance, and the singles loudly make each other's lives hell. But soon the two realize that they have a lot in common. Without ever having seen each other, a "blind date" begins through the wall. —ARD
