After a fatal car accident, a family is plunged into an unimaginable nightmare where every choice may cost them everything. On the way to the funeral of their estranged father, siblings Rob and James, along with their respective partners, search for a place to grab a bite to eat and stretch their legs. Along the bare stretch of highway, the group comes across a roadside diner and decides to stop in. They are met by the owners of the diner, the Curtis family, and after a strange meal and off-putting conversation, they get back in the car and continue on their way.
