Butt Detective The Movie: The Secret of Souffle Island
Nanna has invited her daughter Cille and her best friend to celebrate Cille's 18th birthday on a cruise ship bound for the Caribbean. But the first evening of the dream vacation itself turns into a nightmare. Divorced Nanna (Trine Dyrholm) invites her estranged daughter Cille (Flora Ofelia Hofmann Lindahl) and her best friend Lea (Maja Ida Thiele) on a Caribbean cruise to celebrate Cille's 18th birthday. Determined to give Cille and Lea a memorable night of partying, Nanna gives her daughter her personalized wristband, which gives Cille, who is still considered a minor on board, free access to the bar. The party-loving trio quickly comes into contact with a Norwegian bachelor party group led by the handsome Kevin (Herman Tømmeraas) and his younger teenage brother Mats (Viktor Bjerke Hofgaard). However, after an argument with her daughter, Nanna withdraws. Early in the morning, Nanna is awakened by a member of the service staff because Cille has spent the night on the upper deck, which is forbidden. Hungover, Nanna picks up her completely disoriented daughter, who, to the concern of both women, has woken up with torn panties and in pain. Nanna accompanies Cille to the ship's doctor, but Cille refuses to allow her mother to be present during the examination for possible rape. The ship's security team promises Nanna a thorough investigation. However, Nanna quickly realizes that the supervisory staff has no police powers in international waters. Nanna begins to investigate on her own, which upsets Cille, who simply wants to repress what she has experienced, but is eventually driven by her mother to remember important details of her night of horror. Soon, Nanna zeroes in on Kevin as the perpetrator, whom Cille had become close to on her birthday night. Nanna stops at nothing in her search for evidence. Can she find out the truth? —ZDF
