Crayon Shin-chan: The Hidden Treasure of the Buri Buri Kingdom
In this second theatrical outing for the Crayon Shin-chan franchise, the Nohara family is unexpectedly swept into an adventure involving royalty, treasure, and supernatural powers. The film begins when Prince Sunnokeshi of the Middle Eastern Buri-Buri Kingdom is kidnapped by a mysterious group. The King sends a loyal bodyguard named Ruru to find and rescue the Prince. Meanwhile, in Kasukabe, Japan, strange men spy on the Nohara family and trick them into believing they've won a grand vacation to the Buri-Buri Kingdom as part of a fake lottery. During their flight, the only other passengers reveal themselves to be members of the White Snake Gang. Realizing the danger, the Noharas escape midair using parachutes and land in a dense jungle. As they struggle to survive, they are aided by a group of monkeys, one of which gives Shinnosuke a mysterious pig-nose-shaped artifact. The family eventually finds train tracks and returns to civilization, where they encounter Ruru, who mistakes Shin-chan for the kidnapped Prince due to their uncanny resemblance. She explains her mission, but soon, the White Snake Gang appears and abducts Shin-chan, despite the family's resistance. Ruru manages to place a tracker on one of the gang members before they escape. Shin-chan is taken to the gang's hideout and thrown in a cell, where he meets the real Prince Sunnokeshi. The Prince explains that the gang seeks the legendary treasure of Buri-Buri, hidden in a booby-trapped palace on a remote island. Entry to the palace is only possible using both the Prince and Shin-chan, who must be inserted into keyholes as part of an ancient mechanism. The gang forces them to do so, successfully accessing the treasure chamber. Inside, the gang leader Anaconda retrieves what appears to be an old oil lamp. Performing a strange dance, he summons a genie capable of granting any wish. Just as Anaconda prepares to make his wish, Shin-chan unknowingly uses it to request an autograph from his favorite TV news reporter. Infuriated, Anaconda loses his chance, but his subordinate Mr. Herb discovers a second hidden lamp. Herb betrays Anaconda and summons his own genie. However, Anaconda takes advantage of Herb's distraction and uses the genie to become the most powerful being in existence. Anaconda transforms into a monstrous creature and enslaves Herb. Ruru confronts the now-possessed Herb in battle, while the others try to find a way to stop Anaconda. Sunnokeshi reveals that inserting both pig-nose artifacts into a specific spire will destroy the palace and seal Anaconda's power. Shin-chan and Sunnokeshi successfully complete the task, collapsing the palace and trapping both Anaconda and Herb inside the genie's lamp. The group escapes the collapsing ruins, and Sunnokeshi invites everyone to a grand celebration in the Buri-Buri Kingdom. After returning to Kasukabe, Shin-chan shares his incredible adventure with his dog Shiro, ending another wild chapter in the Nohara family's life.
