Fair Game
Jessica is a caring woman to animals in the outback areas of Australia, running her own wildlife sanctuary here. One day, while driving her car, she is surprised from behind by a menacing looking, giant red truck, being driven by three wild hunters: Sparks, Ringo, and their leader, Sunny. Ringo playfully climbs across Jess's car, while jumping towards a truck in front, while Sparks and Sunny ram her off the road, damaging her car in the process. The local police sheriff, Frank, and mechanic Victor, are both not too helpful with looking into Jess's accusations. A gentle rivalry between Jess and the hunters soon heats up, after Jess and Sunny confront each other in the store. Ringo takes pictures of Jess while she's sleeping naked, and she retaliates by shooting Ringo's camera apart, and later tying up all the weapons of the hunters to a pole with barbed wire. The rivalry quickly intensifies, as the hunters drive their truck around Jess's home, destroying her house, shooting and killing animals near and far, and tackling Jess to the ground, tying her to the front of the truck, and stripping and ripping her clothing up. They take her on a hot, traumatizing joyride, with her still strapped to the truck. While making her way back to the battered, destroyed house, she showers, still traumatized by what the hunters have put her through, and eventually decides to unleash her inner warrior, to stop the terror for good. She first attacks Sparks in a field, and crashes a truck the hunters stow their kills in. Hiding from the hunters in a rocky gorge, Jess manages to trap them inside a cave by pushing some large rocks over the entrance, and then flees on her horse, but not before the hunters fatally shoot the horse. Later that night, Jess sets up some booby traps around her land to surprise the hunters with, knowing they will come for her the following morning. The final stand begins in the morning, as the hunters arrive to finish off Jess. However, with some improvised weapons, Jess manages to outsmart the hunters and lead them into her booby traps. When Ringo grabs onto a wire that the hunters race underneath in their truck, Jess flips a switch for a fuse box inside a small shed that the wire is connected to. Electricity shoots through the wire, and into Ringo, brutally electrocuting him to death. An enraged Sparks fights Jess inside a barn with many farm tools. When he angrily leaps for her, she tricks him to impaling himself on a large anvil. A seething Sunny angrily chases after Jess in the truck, and she tries to fight back with improvised spears. Two of them miss Sunny, but fortunately, he and the truck suddenly fall through the ground, into a small pit that Jess had dug the other night, and had covered with hay. With the truck stuck in the pit, and Sunny unable to back out, get the door open, or unbuckle himself, Jess lights up a Molotov cocktail, and tosses it into the truck. She watches with satisfaction and victory as Sunny screams and roars with rage and defeat, as the truck catches fire and explodes, burning Sunny to death. With the battle won, Jess starts to leave, but is grabbed at from behind by Sparks, who has survived his impalement injury. Getting out of his grip, as Sparks slips to the ground in pain, Jess picks up one of her improvised spears to finish him with, but decides to spare him after seeing her lost dog barking and running over to her. Picking up her dog and cradling him in her arms, Jess triumphantly, and happily leaves the battle site, knowing now that the animals, and Outback, are now safe.
