Unable to forget his deceased mother even after ten years, Minoru, approaching the Bon festival, which is said to be a time when the spirits of the dead return home, seeks out a psychic who can communicate with the dead in the city of Gifu. There, he learns that drugs can induce experiences similar to near-death experiences, sparking his curiosity about the afterlife and gradually leading him down a path of delinquency. Amidst this, he meets Juri, an older girl who has returned from Tokyo.
