The Faculty of Letters at the University of Catania, one of the most beautiful in the world, is about to inaugurate a new Theater Auditorium that architect Carlo di Carlo has created from the Benedictine convent. The space is structured vertically across multiple accessible floors and allows spectators to move from one stage to another, similar to Jacob Levi Moreno's central-plan Psychodrama Theater imagined in Vienna in the early 20th century. Ezio Donato, a professor of pedagogy, director, and theater teacher at the Teatro Stabile di Catania school, has written a play about the relationship between Luigi Pirandello and J.L. Moreno. The event includes reading Pirandello's stories and staging excerpts from "Six Characters in Search of an Author" with a psychodramatic approach that involves calling spectators onto the stage.
