For Ever Mozart
In the face of the upheavals of contemporary history, some shy away while others step up-like Camille, Jérôme, and Djamila, who head to Sarajevo to perform Musset, or Vicky, who is trying to make her film in Paris. Jean-Luc Godard's densely packed rumination on the need to create order and beauty in a world ruled by chaos is divided into four distinct but tangentially related stories, including the attempts by a young group of idealists to stage a play in war-torn Sarajevo and an elderly director's efforts to complete his film. —Anonymous A filmmaker and three young idealists set out to stage a play in Sarajevo during the war. The young people go anyway, are captured, and killed. The filmmaker, who stayed behind, continues working on his film while Mozart's music plays - a symbol of art enduring despite the horrors of the world. —A. Brochant
