Enfants Sorciers, Kinshasa portrays a group of children, aged between 9 and 12, all accused of witchcraft by their families. Sent to the "Awakening" churches, which are everywhere in Kinshasa, they are tortured psychologically and physically by unscrupulous pastors to "eliminate the devil that lurks within them". But once "delivered", these children are never considered by their families to be completely saved, and they end up on the streets of Kinshasa. Faced with the bleak future that lies ahead of them in this lawless megalopolis, the children we are following show extraordinary energy. Music clearly appears to be a vital escape route; it acts as a wonderful balm.
