Gloria's life with her husband and children are drastically turned upside down when she and David, her husband is faced with unexpected financial devastation and are forced to abandon their dreams of raising the family on the country farm in Southern Virginia and are faced with take on the encountered horrors husbands struggles with a terminal illness and the other surprises awaiting them in the big city.
