Horror Stories 2
Set in modern-day Manipur, the film is centered on a successful but unhappy, young man, Ollen. Ollen is facing troubled time in his office. His trepidation at the workplace starts taking over his already suffering personal life, so much so that his wife, Sana decides to withhold the news of her pregnancy from Ollen. Trapped by their own egos and grudges, many misunderstandings developed between the formerly loving couple. Helpless and unhappy with his present life, Ollen drifts off to a troubled sleep, and in a dreamlike, surrealistic twist of fate, finds himself living the life of a poverty-stricken man. Struggling to cope with the upheaval of his former life, the constant nagging of his new wife (played by Tonthoi) and to come to terms with the existence of a daughter he had apparently fathered with Tonthoi, he slowly learns to adapt to his new existence. From there on Ollen starts shuttling between his two extremely different lives. As he leads a hand-to-mouth existence, he starts realizing that even with the lack of basic necessities, he was a much happier person than he was when he could afford all the luxuries he desired. He realizes that happiness lies, not intangible by-products of life like money and professional success, but in the understanding, gratitude, and love that one shower on one's loved ones. This epiphany makes him see the errors of his way and his attitude towards his wife, Sana. He tries to make amends but realizes that its too late, as he is informed that Sana has, having decided to leave him for good, returned to her home. Crestfallen he seeks his other family for comfort. But when he reaches the house, he finds that there is nobody. Even more disturbing was the fact that the house looked like it had not been lived in for years.
