Ice core scientist and National Geographic Explorer Alison Criscitiello is the leader of this ambitious quest. After 10 days of treacherous climbing and multiple emergency evacuations, Criscitiello and her remaining teammates reach Mount Logan's summit plateau where they camp and work for 16 days to finally bring home the deepest non-polar ice core ever collected.
