After Turkey's 2016 coup attempt, three professionals accused of terrorism join migrants fleeing the country. Different backgrounds unite in their search for safety and freedom. Set against the backdrop of the fall out from the 2016 controversial attempted coup in Turkey, a university lecturer, a police officer, and a Kurdish artist are accused of being terrorists. Facing detention they are forced to leave their homes and loved ones behind and get out of the country. They have no choice but to join a group of migrants being illegally smuggled out of Turkey. Exodus is the story of a group of people all from different countries, facing different forms of persecution, but all with the same hope for their future, to find a place where they can find safety and freedom.
