The dying Guatemalan war veteran agrees to accompany a girl searching for information about her grand father, his comrade in arms. Flash backs show the campaign the men fought in when young. In 1980 after a "guerrilla" attack in a bus station Guatemala on September the 5th , 3 months old Teresa is left deaf and motherless. Her father alone embarks with her on a journey of struggle to survive in the middle of a national conflict.
