In the South Yucatan at the turn of the 20th century, a Revolutionary Republican general battles against the region's wealthy land owners. A saga of a wealthy hacienda in Yucatán during the revolution (1910-1920). Wilfrido, the hacienda owner, sends his son to fight the 'outsiders' while dispatching older Mayan workers to guard the fighters defending his land. Meanwhile, Wilfrido flirts with Mayan female laborers, causing conflict within his own family. His arrogance gradually leads to his own downfall.
