Lass mich am Sonntag nicht allein

Elsie loves aspiring singer Toni who with his songwriter friend Edi is struggling to succeed in the tough music industry. As no breakthrough is in sight Elsie has to choose between poor Toni and rich heir Stefan, her childhood companion. Two talented but struggling musicians live in a Bavarian village. Toni writes the music and Edi the lyrics. They make a demo disk, then get work as stagehands in a big-city theatre. They get to perform one of their songs, but leave in despondency and work in a crummy circus. Meanwhile, Toni's delectable girlfriend Elsie is getting lonely back home, and the vivacious Hungarian girl Rosi who works at the theatre seems to be winning his affection. And back home it looks as if Mrs Hauser, Toni's mother, will get evicted. The demo song has become a big hit... if only someone can track the boys down, there could still be a happy ending.
