Tax agreements, bank secrets, companies sourcing raw materials in exploitative ways: the image of Switzerland has become somewhat tarnished in recent years. Filmmakers Simon Baumann and Andreas Pfiffner spent a year touring the country in an attempt to restore the declining reputation of their native country. In the process, they met shepherds and allotment gardeners, journalists and tourists, wealthy residents of the Goldküste and numerous bewildered foreigners, revealing the lack of solidarity and escalating xenophobia in the little Swiss state.
