Oben Ohne
A doctor named Beatrice finds solace in Berlin's clubs while Alex manages venues and raises kids. Their unlikely bond becomes a reflection on liberty and choosing one's path. Aspiring gynecologist BEATRICE escapes the stressful clinic by testing her limits in a kinky club. There she meets the self-confident club manager ALEX. Alex is expecting a child with her partner LUCIA and shuttles between nightlife and family; until a fine turns everything upside down. She is accused of causing a public nuisance because she was sunbathing in the park with her breasts exposed. If she doesn't pay, she must go to prison. Beatrice is confronted with the incurable illness of her aunt HEIKE, with whom she grew up after the death of her parents. The fact that Heike now wants to determine the time of her own death awakens old wounds in Beatrice. She escapes into a drug frenzy and wakes up in Alex's flat. In the end, they are both faced with big decisions: Beatrice finds out about an unexpected pregnancy; Alex must decide whether to pay the fine or go to prison to fight for her rights, while Lucia is confronted with the lack of stability in her relationship, the impending baby and the question of whether she can support Alex or not. WHERE YOU FIND ME is a queer-feminist drama that tells a kaleidoscopic story about bodily autonomy and rebellion, friendship, and queer family models.
