Omolara Thomas, Lara for short (played by Marcy Dolapo Oni), a next generation PR Guru is unfortunately down on her luck when it comes to Men. In fact, she can't stand the notion of love and the reason is because of her ex-boyfriend, Oluwatobiloba Okoye, Tobi for short (played by Taye Arimoro), a Tech Guru from a wealthy Nigerian family and get this, THE hottest bachelor currently in demand because he and his Business partner just raised a whole ton of money. Tobi is currently dating Vivienne Ekpo, Viv for short (played by Nengi Adoki), Lara's arch nemesis who he dumped her for, on her 16th birthday, which really stung because, well, he took her virginity just days before. She swore herself against men because romance as it was intended is dead and not worth it....at all! And instead, she decided to focus on building her empire.... just like Oprah, and Tracy Ellis Ross, even though Oprah has that boyfriend (but that's besides the point). Things take a turn for a change when the opportunity for the biggest promotion of her life comes up. The only snag being, this promotion relies on her working closely with... you guessed it, Tobi! Will she last long enough to get her promotion? Or will she break and avenge her broken heart instead? Throw in a mix of an intrusive quirky boss who is also a life Guru, (played by Shaffy Bello) monkeys, African warrior gods, a kidnap, a scandal, a Black Panther (no, not the one from Wakanda), a Spanish Telenovela, a Western and you have a recipe for the disaster that is A ROMANTIC COMEDY FEATURING LARA AND TOBI.
