"Birth of a Legend" is Part One of a Two Part film telling the true story of Billy the Kid and his involvement in the New Mexico range war known as the Lincoln County War (LCW). Written by the acknowledged authority on the 'Kid' and the main protagonists of the LCW, Mr Frederick Nolan. This film focuses on the early events of the LCW such as John Henry Tunstall, John Chisum and LG Murphy to name but a few and of course, the emergence of Billy the Kid into the story. Part I concludes with the murder and funeral of John Henry Tunstall. As a bonus feature to Part I there is an interview with the writer, Mr Nolan, revealing his insights into his research of the documented facts, sorting fact from fiction in an area where new evidence is emerging every year. Part II "The Betrayal" is currently in pre-production.
