Srikanth plays the role of an investigative journalist called Tirupathisamy in this film. His articles expose some influential men in the society and thereby he incurs their wrath. He falls in love with Indhu, a college student, who is practical and down-to-earth. However, one fine day she gets kidnapped. A clueless Thiru runs around Chennai in search of her. A mystery phone call claims that they have kidnapped his lover and throws a challenge to Thiru. Thus begins a cat and mouse game. Finally it is upto Thiru to get his act right and rescue his lover.
