Ta paidia tou oneirou
Giannis escapes from prison and hides in a deserted factory, with the dream of traveling far away. At the factory, a group of university students rehearse Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream, and a girl from the group discovers him. Yannis' daring escape from prison takes an unexpected turn when he finds refuge in a long-abandoned factory. After all, he is unaware that this seemingly desolate place is alive with the energy of a passionate amateur theatre team rehearsing William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream (1935). And before he knows it, spirited aspiring actress Katerina stumbles upon him. As one thing leads to another, the group takes Yannis in, casting him in a small role with a blend of curiosity and trust. At first, their collective creativity ignites a spark of hope and purpose in Yannis. But soon, a night threat puts the play and Yannis' newfound freedom at risk. As tensions rise, will the Dream Troupe succeed in creating magic on stage, or will this wild encounter cost them everything? —Nick Riganas
