This film revolves around the 2010 San Jose mining accident. Several people from Copiapo work in the San Jose mine. The owner continuously ignores the warnings of the weak structure of the copper and gold mine as a result of which it collapses with thirty three people trapped underground. The only path inside the mine is completely blocked. With more than 2,000 feet of rock in their way, members of a rescue team work tirelessly for more than two months to save the men. With their loved ones awaiting their return, the men begin on an arduous journey of survival despite the diminishing possibilities.
