The Dark of Night
Nico (Diego Montejo), a bright but introverted fifteen-year-old, endures daily bullying at school because his parents own the only funeral home in their small town. Lonely and eager for change, he signs up for a cultural exchange program, hoping for a friend. But when his exchange "boy" arrives, she turns out to be Gabi (Iratxe Emparan), a rebellious French girl unafraid to speak her mind and unaccustomed to living among the constant presence of death. At first, their personalities clash-Nico withdrawn, Gabi impulsive-but curiosity begins to bridge the gap between them. One afternoon, Pol (Pepe Lorente), the eccentric tombstone carver, entertains them with one of the cemetery's many eerie legends. Intrigued, they sneak in to investigate and uncover a hidden corpse alongside a stash of stolen jewels. Shocked and unsure what to do, they rush to Nico's parents (Alexandra Jiménez, VÃctor Clavijo) with the discovery-but when they return to the scene, everything has mysteriously vanished. Brushed off as imaginative teenagers, Nico and Gabi find themselves alone in their fear. Soon, anonymous death threats arrive, and shadowy figures begin following them. The danger escalates when they are cornered by their usual tormentors-Marc, SofÃa, and Raquel (Adrián Checa, Bruna González, Melani)-only for all five to be attacked by the same unknown pursuers. Forced to flee together, the former enemies become reluctant allies, bound by a shared need to survive. Their uneasy alliance leads them deeper into the mystery, navigating hidden passages, cryptic clues, and the unsettling realization that someone in town will stop at nothing to keep the truth buried. As they close in on the answers, the line between childhood fears and adult dangers blurs. Gabrielle, Nico, Marc, SofÃa, and Raquel must rely on one another to expose the crime-before the darkness of the cemetery claims them all.
