In this espionage drama, the tumultuous early history of the Central Intelligence Agency is viewed through the prism of one man`s life. Edward Wilson (Matt Damon) has been recruited to join the secret society Skull and Bones, a brotherhood and breeding ground for future world leaders. He is a prime candidate for a career in intelligence, and he is soon recruited to work for the OSS (the precursor to the CIA) during WWII However Edward`s growing suspicions steadily erode his idealism, and even as he has combated his KGB counterpart all the while ,his dedication to his country comes at an ever-increasing price. Nothing can divert him from his job, not even his beloved son or wife, Clover (Angelina Jolie).
