Three Sisters
An immersive and sensorial experience where we're feeling a scary and suffocating atmosphere building up and a son reconnecting with his father and grieving a tragedy. Simon (Alex Lutz) has become increasingly estranged from his ex-wife and teenage son following an incident that was never fully resolved. Simon's complicated relationship with his own son is reflected in his ambiguous relationship with his father Joseph (André Dussollier), who now lives with him in a holiday home complex in the south of France. When the authorities order the immediate evacuation of the small community via radio broadcasts due to severe forest fires in the region, Simon and his father are confident that they can escape the fire spreading around them. But as they flee the residential area in their pickup truck, the fire grows stronger and stronger, blocking the road that leads to the safety of the beach, where Simon's son and ex-wife are waiting for them to arrive. With the flames now licking at their tires and smoke filling the car, they are forced to find another way out on foot, as the inferno has now spiraled out of control. —SRF
